Types of Tuition

There are various aspects of learning another language. Think carefully about which one, if any, on which you wish to concentrate.

GRAMMAR - The rules of language (written and spoken)

PRONUNCIATION - Using spoken language clearly for understanding.

READING COMPREHENSION - Understanding written English

WRITING - Using more advanced English including literary techniques.

What Are My Rates?

The first session carries no charge. It enables me to talk with the student, find strengths and weaknesses, and discuss what the main focus of the sessions will be.

Sessions thereafter are £24.00 each 1 hour session, payable in advance.

I do accept cheques - please make these payable to 'PJW Education' or pay me in cash. Alternatively payment may be made online. Receipts are available on request. Should two or more students require the same help, they can participate in group lessons - please ask me for prices for these.

Where Does Tuition Take Place?

Students travel to my house to study where I have an area set up.  Please try to be punctual. Each session should last about one hour.

What Do Students Need?

You need lined paper and a pencil. If there are any concerns about specific areas, please feel free to bring examples with you and I will work through them. If you wish to go through work from a specific text or resource then please bring that along too.
